            Our Rexnord Single Smooth Drum Vibratory Roller was made at some point in the late 1970s or early 1980s. It’s pretty much the oldest piece of equipment we have. That’s a distinguished title to have, and it’s a testament to how well it was made.

The Rex has been in our fleet since 1983, and it was our main roller for almost three decades. Even though this roller is used less frequently now, our mechanics have done such an excellent job maintaining it that it is still getting the job done today! It is capable of vibrating in a frequency range of 1100 to 1800 vibrations per minute that our operators can adjust as necessary for maximum efficiency for various soil conditions. But keep in mind—when the Rex roars to life, it really roars. Old technology like this is loud and can be smoky, and it sometimes acts a bit cantankerous. But that’s just part of its character! And it remains a sentimental machine to our President, Greg Tatro. And so, we look forward to many more years of the Rex Roller in our equipment fleet.
